Deploy a new Cloud Server

SWC Cloud Compute servers are powerful virtual machines tailored for high-performance business applications. These instances excel at handling resource-intensive tasks like hosting production websites, managing CI/CD pipelines, processing video transcoding, and operating data engineering workloads.

By offering customizable CPU, memory, and storage options, SWC Cloud Compute instances can be configured to meet your specific application requirements. This guide will walk you through the process of deploying these instances using the customer account dashboard.

  1. Navigate to Deploy and select a server category from the list of options in the left sidebar.
  2. Click on Select to access the server configuration page.
  3. Select the Server instance type based on CPU and memory specification.
  4. Choose the OSI – Operating System Image of the fresh operating system or application to be installed on the server.
  5. Select additional options to enable optional features on the server instance.
    • Auto Backups: Enables automatic backups to enable data recovery in case the server becomes unavailabe.
    • DDoS Protection: Enables an extra security layer to prevent potential Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks on your instance.
    • IPv6: Enable IPv6 address assigned to the instance
  6. Choose your desired SWC datacenter Location to deploy the server instance.
  7. Enter a custom label in the optional Label field to apply a descriptive label to the server instance.
  8. Review the server activation server details and cost summary.
  9. Then, click Deploy Now to add the server to your final deployment activation page and proceed with sign-in and payment options.
